Quick And Simple Kids’ Biscuit Recipe
Easy Kids’ Biscuits
Ingredients:
– 1 cup plain flour
– 1/2 cup self-raising flour
– 1/2 cup sugar (you can reduce this for less sweetness)
– 1/2 cup butter, softened
– 1 egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together using a hand mixer or spoon until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
4. Sift the plain flour, self-raising flour, and salt into the bowl, and stir until the mixture forms a dough. If it’s too sticky, add a little extra flour.
5. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on the baking tray, leaving a little space between each one. You can flatten them slightly with a fork if you like.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are lightly golden.
7. Let the biscuits cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional: You can add chocolate chips, sprinkles, or raisins for extra fun!
This recipe should make around 12 biscuits. It’s perfect for kids to help with and enjoy a homemade snack!
