Lush Flying Fox Shower Gel Review – A Luxury Treat or Disappointing Fail?
I recently treated myself to a few new Lush shower gels, excited to try the Flying Fox scent. Described as a blend of Jasmine, Rose, and Ylang Ylang, it sounded like the perfect indulgence.
Buying Lush Online – A Necessity in the Australian Outback
As my blog name suggests, I live in the harsh Australian desert, with limited access to stores. Shopping in person wasn’t an option, so I ordered Flying Fox from the Lush online store.
When it arrived, I was thrilled! The packaging was stunning—a Lunar New Year limited edition box. I eagerly unwrapped it, inhaled deeply, and waited to be wrapped in the luxurious floral scent of Jasmine and Rose.
The Scent – A Shocking Disappointment
Instead of a heavenly floral aroma, I was hit with an overpowering, putrid smell so awful that I thought the product had expired. But after checking the label, I realized—this is just how it smells!
For a brand known for high-end, pampering bath and body products, this was beyond disappointing. Lush is not a budget store—it’s a place you shop at when you’re ready to splurge on something special.
Final Verdict – Straight to the Bin
Sadly, this Lush shower gel was so unpleasant that I couldn’t use it. Despite my love for the brand, Flying Fox ended up in the bin.
Have you tried Flying Fox? Did you love it or hate it? Let me know in the comments!
