  1. Activate the yeast:
    Place warm milkyeast, and caster sugar into a jug and whisk to combine. Cover with cling film and let it sit in a warm place for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
  2. Prepare the dough:
    In a bowl, combine flour and sugar. Add the yeast mixturemelted butter, and the extra warm milk. Stir to combine. Once a dough forms, place it on a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. To test the dough, press your finger into the surface—if it bounces back, it’s ready!
  3. Let the dough rise:
    Place the dough into a bowl, cover with cling film, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the buns:
    After resting, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Place them on a greased baking tray, leaving space between each. Cover with cling film and let them rest for another 20 minutes.
  5. Bake the buns:
    Preheat the oven to 200°C and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  6. Assemble the cream buns:
