On The Breakfast Plate This Morning…

Water with lemon juice, coffee, maybe some Vegemite toast later.

Right Now I Am…

Watching “Say Yes To The Dress UK”.

On My Bedside Table…

Fit Bit, book, mobile phone, bottle of water with fresh lemon, and my knitting basket.

On My Reading Pile…

“My One True North” by Milly Johnson.

The brand new novel from the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew – a gorgeous read full of hope, warmth and heartfelt emotion. ?

‘The feeling you get when you read a Milly Johnson book should be bottled and made available on the NHS’ Debbie Johnson

Laurie and Pete should never have met.
But fate has pushed them together for a reason.

Six months ago, on the same night, Laurie and Pete both lost their partners.
Struggling to manage the grief, they join the same counselling group – and meet each other.

From their sadness, Pete and Laurie find happiness growing and they sense a fresh new beginning.
Except, the more they talk, the more they begin to spot the strange parallels in their stories.
Then Pete discovers a truth that changes everything.

But, as surely as a compass points north, some people cannot be kept apart.

My One True North is a story of friendship and what love means, of secrets uncovered, teashops on corners and the northern lights.

‘Milly Johnson brings her trademark warmth, humour and compassion to this tale of love, fate, second chances and the importance of giving your heart time to heal. The perfect read for a rainy day spent under a blanket’ Culturefly

‘If your March reading list is all about warmth and cosiness, then Milly Johnson’s latest novel should be top of your reading pile. From the writer of The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew (which is fabulous, by the way) My One True North is full of the heartfelt optimism we need at this time of year’ Yahoo Book of the Month

Movies Or Shows I Watched This Weekend…

“Call The Midwife S9” keeps me company in the evenings as I write. However it stops at episode 9 and I am not sure if there are more episodes that have yet to be uploaded/released, or if there really are only 9 episodes.

On The Menu This Week…

Monday: Hamburger cob loaf.

Tuesday: Spaghetti bolognaise with individual garlic breads.

Wednesday: Slow cooked chicken drumsticks with steamed vegetables.

Thursday: Sausage casserole.

Friday: Toasted sandwiches.

Saturday: If It’s (if it is there you can eat it).

Sunday: Roast beef and vegetables.

On My To Do List..

Finish editing my manuscript.

Submit some short story competition entries.

Start my entry for the Furphy writing competition.

Transfer loose recipes into my hand written recipe journal.

Organise Wyatt’s schoolwork.

More squares of my patchwork knitted blanket. I am only using leftover balls from other projects, so it will take me a couple of years I think, to finish.

Looking Forward To…

2021!

Looking Around My House…

It needs a general tidy up but that is it. If the weather cools this week I may get started on tidying up the front yard.

From My Camera…

What

As I was walking through my laundry, I glanced up and saw…a pair of my toddlers underwear! He is going through a phase where he throws his clothes in the air when he takes anything off. One can only imagine how they got there, and how long they have been there!

My Simple Pleasure…

Reading.

LOL, looking up and seeing a random pair of underwear sounds like something that would have happened around here back in the days my boys were small. Your book sounds interesting. Might have to look that one up and see if it’s available. Hope you have a wonderful week!
