When I think of Canada, I think of Mounties in their red serger uniforms, awe inspiring mountain ranges, and spectacular northern lights.
I am determined to go to Canada one day, I want to walk through the pages of some of my favourite books, visit places that I have pictured a thousand times over, to see for myself what it is that the author managed to convey to me through their writing.
I want to climb the Banff mountains, visit Calgary, Prince Edward Island and Edmonton, and take a glass topped train across the Rockies. I think it would be just magical to breathe in the writings of some of my favourite authors.
Have books inspired you to visit far flung places? Maybe you have already been? Did the reality live up to the written descriptions?
