I have been fighting with a flare up of my chronic sinusitis and strep throat these past few weeks, as well as being busy with life, and am glad to get back into the routine of blogging.
Today I am linking up with Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom, for Happy Homemaker Monday.
Although we had a winter’s day last week whereby we had to don track pants, singlets, skivvy’s and jumpers, this week we are back in our shorts and tank tops again. Today it is warm, but not overbearingly so.
On My Reading Pile…
I have just finished reading “Australian Midwives” by Paula Heelan, which I found interesting. Having lived in remote locations for most of my life, and having worked and used the services of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, I found some of her writing to be rather…political shall we say. Otherwise an okay read. It is a library book, and not one I would consider paying money for.
Currently reading a book called “Life Magic” by Ruth Ostrow. I would never have even picked this book up, based on the title and cover, but a friend gifted it to me, and seriously, I am loving it!
To be read…”Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch, “The Book of Forgiving” by Desmond Tutu, “The Tastes of Ayurveda” by Amrita Sondhi, and “Why Aren’t We Dead Yet?” by Idan Ben-Barak.
On My TV…
Very little this week, I have been heading to bed so early, and on the rare occasions that I am awake late, there has not been much to tempt me on TV.
On My Plate For Dinner Tonight…
Grilled fish with steamed vegetables.
On The Menu This Week…

On My To Do List…
Clean the fans in the kitchen, lounge room, and bedrooms.
Post Lisa’s birthday card.
Buy a fat quarter for my Aunt’s 60th birthday quilt (each person she knows is providing one and she is going to stitch it all up together).
Mail Aunty Meg’s birthday package.
Collect, wash and install the two baby carriers.
Make a shopping list of items I still need for my newest foster babies (twins!).
Trim the bougainvillea.
In The Craft Basket…
Finish cutting out quilt pieces.
Make flip book for the Museum of letters.
Looking Around My House…
I am content.
From My Camera…
Photo’s from our portrait session a few weeks ago. Gosh Wyatt has grown!
And some yummy coconut ice Easter eggs that we make every year. The recipe will be on the blog tomorrow.
My Simple Pleasure…
Every afternoon I lay down for ten minutes, just long enough for me to refocus on the tasks I still need to accomplish, and recharge my energy.
Just because they could not love you, does not mean that you are unlovable.
