Home School Art

One of the best bits about home-schooling is that you can take as much or as little time with certain subjects as you desire. Yesterday for our art lesson Wyatt and I made hanging pennants for our study.

We used a manila folder for our base, a thick paper straw and some twine for our hanger, and items from my stash for the actual decorations. We made triangular holders for our straws, as we didn’t want to affix them directly to our pennants.

We used the straw as a guide for the size of our pennant. My images were stamped, fussy cut and then arranged and stuck with foam tape for a 3D look.

Wyatt used a combination of stamping, fussy cut, hand drawing, bling bits, and a bottle cap he flattened.

Despite his initial reservations, he had a lot of fun making his, and wants to do another one tomorrow!

These are now hanging in our study as small reminders.
