Today I am linking up with Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom, for Happy Homemaker Monday.

Is already humid, even though it is past midnight where I live, in Alice Springs, Australia.

Things That Make Me Happy…

Seeing my son be so helpful with his foster brother, without being asked.

As I Look Out My Window…

The moon is so huge and bright, it lights up the whole sky.

On My Reading Pile…

Oh my gosh, so many books! I went a little crazy before Christmas and got our new Kindles all stocked up. I am just about to start Milly Johnson’s new book “The Mother Of All Christmases”.

On My TV…

This week I am still re-watching the Chicago Fire series that I got for Christmas.

On My Plate For Dinner Tonight…

Something simple, toasted cheese sandwiches.

On The Menu This Week…

Tuesday: Shepherd’s pie with vegetables.

Wednesday: Whole roast chicken with roast potatoes and roast pumpkin (skins on).

Thursday: Meatloaf with steamed vegetables.

Friday: If Its (if it’s there you can have it).

Saturday: Steamed vegetables with cheese sauce.

Sunday: Toad in the Hole with steamed vegetables.

On My To Do List…

Apply for university scholarships.

Arrange someone to come and service the air conditioner.

Arrange for the council to replace my curbside garbage bin.

Finalise plans to renovate: the study into a bedroom for my mum; the nursery into a new study; and my mum’s old bedroom into a bigger nursery/bedroom for a longer term foster care placement.

Find a card swapping group to join.

Supervise Wyatt’s home-school lessons.

New Recipe I Want To Try Soon…

Not new, but with Australia Day coming up, I want to make a pavlova. Or a vanilla slice, I have still not quite decided yet.

In The Craft Basket…

A lime green and black quilt I am making for my son, to match his room.

Bunting for my kitchen window.

Looking Around My House…

I have got to work out how to fix the leaky pipe under the concrete in my backyard.

From My Camera…

My Simple Pleasure…

Spending a few minutes before bed each night to do some journaling.

Great quote for the week. Enjoyed your moon photos. It was a super moon here (is that everywhere? I’m really not sure) but we had clouds so no viewing. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Enjoyed reading your post! Great quote and lovely photographs! We had the whole super moon, wolf moon, blood moon, total lunar eclipse going on last night. It was awesome! Have a blessed week ahead! ❤

I love your quote. It’s so true. It definitely easier to quite than to keep going when the road seems so far. Beautiful photos of the moon. My kiddos went out and watch the Blood Moon that was visible here last night. They thought it was pretty neat.

I loved your quote. Great photos of the moon. My kids watched the blood moon that was visible here last night. They thought it was pretty neat, even if it was freezing outside.
