Today I am linking up with Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom, for Happy Homemaker Monday.
d75a58b8dc30a275bb0ae1e281fdd130The Weather…

Is gross and hot, even though it is well past midnight. I pray that this awful heat wave will break soon, it is a miracle no one has become seriously ill yet.

Things That Make Me Happy…

Officially being approved as a foster carer!

As I Look Out My Window…

I see a sky full of glorious stars. It is one of the best things about living in the desert, the clear sky that is perfect for stargazing.

On My Reading Pile…

Oh my gosh, so many books! I went a little crazy before Christmas and got our new Kindles all stocked up. Although I have a dozen or so new books to read, I am currently re-reading the Janette Oke “Love Comes Softly” series.

On My TV…

This week I am going to start watching the Chicago Fire series that I got for Christmas, as well as start on Project Runway Junior with my son.

On My Plate For Dinner Tonight…

Pasta bolognaise with grated cheese.

On The Menu This Week…

Tuesday: Shepherd’s pie with vegetables.

Wednesday: Whole roast chicken with roast potatoes and roast pumpkin (skins on).

Thursday: Meatloaf with steamed vegetables.

Friday: Toasted sandwiches or something equally easy.

Saturday: Steamed vegetables with cheese sauce.

Sunday: Toad in the Hole with steamed vegetables.

On My To Do List…

Apply for university scholarships.

Arrange someone to come and service the air conditioner.

Arrange for the council to replace my curbside garbage bin.

New Recipe I Want To Try Soon…

I want to try my hand at making a sweet potato damper for my son, who loves sweet potatoes, and damper, separately.

In The Craft Basket…

A lime green and black quilt I am making for my son, to match his room.

Bunting for my kitchen window.

Some colouring books for my sanity.

Looking Around My House…

I have got to work out how to fix the leaky pipe under the concrete in my backyard.

From My Camera…

Water drops.

My Simple Pleasure…

Spending a few minutes before bed each night to do some journaling.

Where do you live for it to be so hot? Here in Quebec, this morning, it is -25C with windchill factor.
Congrats for the foster care approval! What would you like to study at the University?
Love your menu plan, have to do mine in a few minutes.
    Have a great week

It is so lovely to be in a place where you can see the stars so clearly!

I have a Janette Oke book on my to read pile called A Searching Heart. I’ve read through the Love Comes Softly series and loved it.

    Have a lovely week!

LOVE your quote! The Chicago series is quite good, we watch all 3 of them as they intersperse so much of the time. And oh my where are you that it is that warm? Have a GREAT week.
