Is surprising cool this morning, although we are expecting a top of 41 degrees Celsius.

Things That Make Me Happy…

Doing Elf on the Shelf for my son. We have been doing it for years, and I have never repeated a single activity. Each year the challenge gets harder and harder! At the end of each week I will post an overview on this blog, of the mischief our elf, Sprinkles, got up to, if you need ideas for your own elf.

As I Look Out My Window…

Two cheeky dogs are sitting at mums feet, hoping for more treats. The Christmas lights are slowly fading into the lightening daylight.

On My Reading Pile…

Nothing. I have bought us all Kindles for Christmas, so have been buying and stockpiling Kindle books in the cloud, just waiting for December 25. I predict this Christmas day will be very quiet indeed!

On My TV…

This week I am going to watch a bunch of DVDs we borrowed from the local library, including Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, which just sounds like a wholesome, fun, movie.

On My Plate For Dinner Tonight…

Chicken, bacon and leek pie. I belong to a group run by a local supermarket chain, that allows members to sample products. You don’t get to choose which products you are offered to try, but you can choose to claim them or not. It is free to join, and free to sample, and they have some interesting items, like this pie. We have previously tried biscuits and cakes, pastas and chicken Kiev, cereals and household products. So far we have only had two duds out of about 30 samples.

On The Menu This Week…

Monday: Chicken bacon and leek pie.

Tuesday: Shepherd’s pie with vegetables.

Wednesday: Whole roast chicken with roast potatoes and roast pumpkin (skins on).

Thursday: Leftover chicken, shredded, added to pasta and sauce.

Friday: Toasted sandwiches.

Saturday: Steamed vegetables with gravy.

Sunday: Chicken fillets with steamed vegetables.

On My To Do List…

Interview Santa for my blog.

Apply for university scholarships.

New Recipe I Want To Try Soon…

White Chocolate Candy Cane Fudge.

In The Craft Basket…

Some Christmas bunting I am sewing.

A lime green and black quilt I am making for my son, to match his room.

Looking Around My House…

I have got to work out how to fix the leaky pipe under the concrete in my backyard.

From My Camera…

My joker son in Singapore in September.

Singapore Universal Studios

My Simple Pleasure…

Discovering these gorgeous books.

I started doing the Elf On The Shelf for fun just as my youngest was finishing elementary school. Of course, our elf stays lost in a snow storm the first part of December 😉 It’s a fun thing though. No repeats is impressive. Hope you have a wonderful week!

LOVE your inspiration! It truly is impressive that you have no repeats for Elf on the Shelf. I know I’ve been struggling to come up with new ideas. Sounds like a GREAT menu. Have a wonderful week.
