Baking Days

I was finally able to buy myself a new oven of sorts this week, such a blessing to be able to actually bake again, instead of grilling and steaming everything!

Technically my gas oven is fine, but it is slowly becoming more and more temperamental, and there is no way I can afford to replace it.

Enter Kmart, and their 45L convection oven, and voila! It fits all of my specialty cake pans, except my open book pan, and has multiple shelf height levels. It even has a bottom drip guard, which slides in and out, for easy cleaning.

There are various modes and element combinations, a timer, and the temperature goes up to 250 degrees Celsius, which is lovely.

We have tried cupcakes and a shepherds pie, and both tasted great.

I am in love with my new toy, and best of all, it was under $100!

Kmart rocks!
