I feel as if all of my dreams came true last year, when I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Paris Disney, home of the prettiest Sleeping Beauty castle ever created.
Did you know that the castle colour is dependant upon the skyline? The ones in the USA are grey, as they usually have blue skies, whereas the one in Paris is *gasp* pink, as they usually have greyish skies.
Sleeping Beauty was the very first Disney movie I ever saw, and for that reason alone it holds a special place in my heart. The joy of seeing the castle, and the gorgeous stained glass windows up close, was indescribable. Even now, just thinking about it, I get goosebumps.
These windows tell the story of Sleeping Beauty, or Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant, and were made by Peter Chapman, the same man responsible for restoring the stained glass in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
